Interventional Radiology RN – Job Description
Facility: St. Barnabas Hospital, Bronx, NY
Specialty: Interventional Radiology (IR RN) / Cath Lab
Contract Length: 14 Weeks (06/22/2026 – 09/30/2026)
Shift: Days, 4x10s (8:00 AM – 6:00 PM)
Requirements: Minimum 2 years of IR RN experience, BLS, ACLS
Travel Pay: $2627 /week, ($76.14 /hr) + $500 travel reimbursement.
Local Pay: $2344 /week, ($67.94 /hr).
Responsibilities:
- Prepare patients for interventional radiology procedures by performing assessments and providing patient education.
- Assist with the setup and operation of imaging equipment while maintaining sterile technique.
- Administer medications, IV infusions, and moderate sedation as ordered by physicians.
- Continuously monitor patients' vital signs during procedures and respond to any changes in condition.
- Collaborate with physicians and technologists during diagnostic and interventional procedures.
- Provide post-procedure care, including patient assessment, pain management, and discharge education.
- Ensure accurate documentation and adherence to facility policies and safety standards.
Ideal Candidate:
- Experienced IR RN with strong critical care and procedural nursing skills.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced procedural environment.
- Skilled in patient monitoring, sedation management, and emergency response.
Certifications Required: BLS, ACLS
Experience Required: Minimum 2 years of Interventional Radiology RN experience.
